Help your clients get back on their feet with pedi treatments

There are many reasons why you should consider adding foot treatments to your menu – 7,000 in fact. That’s the number of nerves in our feet, which explains why after a long hard day of walking and standing you clients’ poor tootsies need some TLC.

As if just being on our feet weren’t enough, we women have made our feet slaves to fashion-forward footwear. As a result, plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, corns, flat feet and other feet-related conditions are an epidemic.

With so much pedi pain and suffering, it’s no wonder that healthy feet treatments are number one on the SpaFinder Top 10 2012 Global Spa Trends The focus on our aching feet has given rise to ‘foot fitness” bootcamps; medi-pedi spas; and multi-treatment, foot-focused spa packages.

You may already be offering foot massage to ease your client’s tired feet. Throughout the Eastern part of the globe, foot massage is considered to be beneficial for overall health and well-being because of the belief that each part of the foot corresponds to another area of the body. By massaging the foot, you are relieving pain and stress in another organ. Whether or not that is true, the fact is that clients love foot massages.

Also summer is just around the corner, so sandals and open-toed shoes will be on display. Help your clients your put their best feet forward with a smoothing and softening pedi treatment following a foot massage.

Floral Treat for the Feet is one of our recommended pedi-treatments just in time for warm weather.


Ingredients
  • Lavender Essentila Oil - 10 drops
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil - 5 drops
  • Marine Therapy Pedi-Scrub - 1 ounce
  • Marine Therapy Pedi-Balm - ½ ounce

 Supplies

  • Water and
  • large bowl and basin

Instructions

  1. Warm product prior to application in rubber bowls.
  2. Ensure water in bowl is at a comfortable temperature. Add 10 drops of Lavender & 5 drops of Tea Tree. Add fresh flower petals.
  3. Let feet soak in floral footbath for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove right foot from footbath and smooth Marine Therapy Pedi-Scrub over the entire right foot. Apply in small circular movements - paying special attention to rough/callused areas. Place foot back in bath, and repeat with left foot.
  5. Remove feet from footbath and wipe clean from excess granules.
  6. Complete the treatment with a quick foot and lower-leg massage using Marine Therapy Pedi-Balm.
