BIOTONE Launches 2012 Edu-Partner Community Outreach Award Program

Now in its sixth year, the BIOTONE program awards two massage schools $2500 grants each for their community volunteer massage therapy programs conducted during the year. BIOTONE will announce the 2012 recipients in early 2013.
BIOTONE established the Community Outreach Award Program in 2007 to recognize massage therapy schools for helping their communities, providing students with unique, hands-on training and advancing public awareness of the healing value of massage. In making its selection, BIOTONE evaluates a program’s impact on the community, benefits to recipients and ability to meet stated goals.
Over the years, the BIOTONE program has awarded grants honoring a range of community outreach programs across the country. Grant recipients havedemonstrated their community spirit by providing massage services to veterans,cancer patients, and the economically disadvantaged, among others.
The BIOTONE Community Outreach Award is part of the company’s Edu-Partner initiative. BIOTONE helps schools raise their visibility amongprospective students, and schools participate with the company in jointmarketing activities. More than 800 schools participate in the BIOTONEEdu-Partner program.
Submission for the BIOTONE Community Outreach Award runs through December 31, 2012.
